The Imagine/RENDER Group strives to create positive and lasting social change through the arts, education and projects that build community.

Mission Statement:

Imagine/RENDER’s mission is based on the understanding that creativity involves both the imagination and the ability to make the imagined come to life.

Our philosophy is that learning occurs throughout life and in all situations.  All our activities are geared to promote the objectives of a just and healthy society.

Three Major Initiatives:

1.  The Empty Bowls Project

A variety of garden projects contribute produce to emergency food providers.  For example, Imagine/RENDER collaborates with the Master Gardeners Program of Michigan State University’s Extension Service to contribute food to organizations such as the Food Bank of Oakland County.

3. Workshops and Seminars:

Imagine/RENDER engages people in direct hands-on activities through workshops in the arts, gardening practicums and teaching seminars.  Seminars feature national and international specialists in areas such as sustainable and extended season gardening and social justice through the arts.
